What is Builders Cleaning

Builder’s cleaning, also known as post-construction cleaning, is a type of cleaning service that is carried out after a construction or renovation project is completed. It involves thoroughly cleaning and removing all debris, dust, and other construction-related waste from the construction site or the building’s interior and exterior.

Initial Cleaning is booked in when main structure such as concrete slabs and brick walls are constructed. Initial Cleaning removes brick debris, concrete debris, cements, and all other construction waste that supposed to be removed. Initial Cleaning is aiming to give the contractors a clean and ready-to-go environment to install the attachments and fixings. 

Interval Cleaning might be needed as per builder’s request, aiming to give the following contractors a ready-to-go condition after some heavy dust pollution works completed such as plaster wall installing and tiling. 

Final Cleaning is needed when all fittings, attachments, amenities are installed. Final cleaning requires a detailed and comprehensive cleaning service to remove all dust and dirt, debris, cement drops, paint drops, glues and silicone drops, marks, and all noticeable stains from all textures from floor to ceiling. The premises should be in an spotless condition and ready for builders to carry out final inspections after Final Cleaning completed.

Handover Cleaning is carried out after builder’s final inspection and all needed repair/fixing completed. The premises should be in an immaculate condition and ready for customers to move in.  

 

General tasks on Builders Cleaning
  • Removing dust, sand, cements, gravel, pebbles, brick debris, and all construction waste.
  • Removing paint, grout, plaster, cement, glue and silicon drops from all surfaces.
  • Vacuuming and mopping floors.
  • Deep cleaning of all fixtures such as drawers, wardrobes, shelves, sliding tracks and windows.
  • Deep cleaning all kitchen and bathroom amenities. Cloth-dry the high gloss surface with no water mark left behind.
  • Squeegeeing all glass and mirrors.
  • Removing all plastic coverings from all attachments/amenities.
  • Pressure cleaning and machine scrubbing external sealed areas.

  • Poor time management     Builders cleaning, especially Final Cleaning needs to finish large amount of high standard, intensive cleaning work within a short period of time.
  • Improper tools     All surfaces within the premises are in brand new condition. They are sensitive of the sharpness of the tools applying on them. Never apply metal tools on any surface without a proper test run.
  • Improper chemicals     All surfaces within the premises are in brand new condition. They are sensitive of the PH value when applying chemical on them. Always to test run when apply chemical to metal or porous materials.
